Every SoilKit comes with a customer care card inside the packaging. This card provides step by step instructions on how to register your kit, collect and mail your sample, and receive your results. It also contains your unique kit ID that is needed when registering your kit, and information on contacting SoilKit, whether for support issues or to send in your before and after photos!
Step 1: Create Account/Log in
Once you have your sample and you are ready to register, you will go online to SoilKit365.com and click Create Account. If you already have an account, you can simply log in using your email and password. We request that all users create an account so that you can log in at any time and view your results once they're available. Those results never expire, so if you do yearly tests, you can always go back and see how your results changed from year to year.
Step 2: Enter Kit ID and contact info
Once you have created an account and logged in, you will be asked for your unique kit ID from the customer care card. This begins the registration process. Once the kit ID is verified, you are taken to a questionnaire. This gives you the opportunity to nickname your kit (in case you have several). You will also be asked to provide your name, phone number, and address. Once you type in your address, you will be able to use google maps to calculate the square footage of the area you are testing.
Step 3: Select sample location and caluculate area
To use the Google Maps square footage calculator, you will find the area you are testing with the kit you are registering and outline the area. To do this, you will click the outer edges of the area to drop pins. When finished, click use this area, and it will calculate your square footage. Click here for detailed instructions on using the mapping tool.
Step 4: Complete questionnaire
Once your square footage is calculated, it is now time to choose your testing option: lawn, garden, trees & shrubs, or wildlife plots. Some options may have subcategories to be able to choose exact plants you are testing. Lawn, for example, has many types of lawn grass to choose from, but if you do not know your type, you can choose other. Once the questionnaire has been completed, you have registered your kit and now you can sit back, relax, and wait for your results to be sent via email and also though the account you created when registering your kit!
