If your lawn is showing symptoms of a fungal infection, it can usually be treated using the same fungicide that is effective across many different diseases, without diagnosing the specific pathogen. For example, Heritage fungicide can control 20+ different lawn and turf diseases! It is rarely necessary to perform an expensive microbiology test in order to identify and/or treat fungal diseases.
