There are a couple of differences between SoilKit and Auburn Powered by SoilKit. Below, we will discuss both and how they differ.
The Auburn Soil Test Kit is processed by the Auburn University soil lab. And, the test has recommendations that reflect the Auburn research and science that is included in the results. It is a great kit very customized to specific Alabama soils and Auburn research. There is a slight difference in testing:
Auburn Powered by SoilKit:
Samples are sent to the Auburn lab, which tests for pH, Buffer pH, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, and CEC.
Whereas:
SoilKit:
Samples are sent to a third party AG lab where they test for: pH, Buffer pH, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese, Iron, Copper, Boron, CEC, and organic matter.
