Zoysia grass varieties are warm-season grasses that are typically cut shorter than other grasses. The recommended height depends on the specific variety of Zoysia. Rule of thumb is Zoysia Japonica (wide blade) can be maintained at a higher height if cut 1.5-2”, and Zoysia Matrella (fine blade) can be maintained lower at 0.75-1.5”.
